I climbed the ladder of the student press all the way to the top, only to find myself hurled violently back to the bottom rung of the post-post-secondary world.

After some freelancing and a string of embarrassing, if not enlightening jobs, I landed  a gig as a newswire reporter and editor at QMI Agency (a.k.a. Sun Media), where I get to work with rad people to run a national newswire and adorn my desk with tiny superhero toys.

My interests include the Oxford comma, asking inappropriately personal questions, comic books, recreational copy-editing, watching way too much TV, feminism, and not using parallel structure in this sentence.

Most recently, I’m trying my hand at pop-culture writing, blogging about television at Rabbit Ears and video games at Button Mashers.
